New Beverly Auto Clinic responded to my call to AAA for emergency road service. My car had a mechanial problem. I had been told to leave my car since AAA could not guarantee when the tow company would arrive. When I went to check on my car the next morning at the service station which has repaired my cars for twenty years, I found the door smashed open. I reported this to AAA.
New Beverly auto clinic has stated that the door had no physical damaged when it was picked up. The driver has stated that he had trouble shutting the door and he tied it shut with a rope. He says that he delivered it to the service station as requested and left it undamamged. I feel that this report is untrue.
First, no rope was found on or near the car. Second, the door was smashed open and would not close. This could not happen during a collision. The auto body shop which now has the car stated that the damage was consistent with the door flying open during the tow, not a collision. Third, I went to the service station the night before to inform them that the car would be towed to them. I saw the spot in between two cars which would be the spot to put my car. The next morning, the same two cars were still there, on either side of my car, obviously not moved. How could a collision occur. I feel that New Beverly Suto Clinic should take responsibility for damaging my car.
