I would like to take the opportunity to warn anyone looking to buy a car to stay away from Wesley Chapel Nissan. My girlfriend and I made a big mistake to do any business with these swindlers who take advantage of their customers and ignore you after they fool you into signing.
It seems to be true why most people think car salesmen and finance managers are scum bags simply looking to rip you off with their lies and empty promises.
We hope through our mistake someone can benefit and keep far away from these scam artist.
Our story began by an email to a local Nissan Dealer were I received a very good quote for a car 2mi from my home. Because the color was not what we were looking for we decided to shop around with this quote which was hard to beat according to most dealerships within 200 miles. I got many offers, most not even close to what I had in hand, until I was contacted by an internet salesman who proceeded to offer me a vehicle in the color I was interested in for about $2700. More than original quote. We didn't mind at the time to pay the extra amount to get the car she wanted and not to mention the 4 hour ride each way to pick up the car from the dealership was an inconvenience.
After a dozen emails negotiating final price and discount offerings up to 7k in rebates we reach a purchase price and a O.T.D. Price (out the door price with tags/tax/dealer fees/etc). I felt it was not right we would have to pay tax on total and high dealer fees which ran an extra $500. Dealer agrees to knock off the $500 off the purchase price. We were fine with the price and willing to drive the 4 hours to purchase the car. We found it very insulting during & after we were getting ripped off that one of the managers was ensuring us how wonderful their customer service was and how our satisfaction was guaranteed, Right! And If that was the case I would not be here informing you.
When it came down to the finance manager which was the ultimate crook and the person who misled my girlfriend into a $2k service plan without mentioning price along with the illusion it was a basic warranty. Not only did the negotiated purchase price not appear on the sales contract nor did the $500. Manager discount or an extra $2500. That was part of the rebate we negotiated via email. Before we left two contracts were signed and were on hold to compare better interest rate and discounts. The finance manager ensured us he would call us the very next day to inform us of rates and to close the deal.
We never got a phone call, even after my girlfriend called the salesman and the finance manager to cancel service plan and find out final rate. 3 days go by with many phone calls to them with no answers or concerns to simply hear we are really busy because it's the end of the month and sorry, on the contract it says no cooling off period and you cant cancel contract or service plan which I had already contacted Nissan and filed a cancellation of plan.
Unfortunately for Us we felt ripped off of $3k in rebates and discounts promised not to mention the inconvenience of having to wait for a refund of service plan and refinance the vehicle again on our own. Wesley chapel nissan is a complete rip off!!!
