Wesley Chapel Nissan
Terrible Customer Service

I submitted a request for a vehicle online and was contacted by the internet sales manager. I asked for a no money down 36 month, 12K mile lease quote. I was told it would be $299 tax a month on the highest model that I was looking for.

I decided to come in for a test drive of the vehicle and all was well. He set me up with a new sales person to work out the deal. I didn't have time to stay and go over all the information so they asked me to come back the next day.

I came in the next day and met with a new sales person and a different manager. I was given a price of $399 tax plus $2000 down (on the 2nd highest model available — not the car that I originally even wanted!). I informed them of the email that I had stating it was 299 tax with nothing down and they told me such a lease offer doesn't exist. I pulled up my email to verify for them.

They continued to try to talk me into a little lower and a little lower. I refused and told them that I'll be better off purchasing the vehicle through another dealership using Auto Adviser through my credit union who was able to get the vehicle at $500 over invoice.

They left and came back with letting me purchase vehicle at invoice due to their company misinforming me and they want a good reputation. They showed me the invoice and then showed me the calculations and monlthy payment. The invoice price was about $100 less than what they used in the calculation so they manually refigured the price for me again.

The sales people continued to pressure me into purchasing the car but I managed to leave to think about it. The next day, I called to get the vehicle and came into the dealership.

The paperwork was supposed to be ready and it was not. When it was, the price of the vehicle was still $100 over invoice and I pointed this out to the finance guy who had no reaction... And I just said "forget it. It's close enough".

I signed my contact with the interest rate already agreed on. (This was on Sunday.)

On Tuesday morning, I was informed that the interest rate available would be 1% higher and that if I wanted the lower rate, I would need to call the credit union to work it out with them.

I called credit union who informed me that the lower interest rate was only for members and since I wasn't a member yet I could not get that rate. I called and left a message with the dealership telling them the situation and that I still wanted the lower interested rate; so if they needed to buy down the rate or whatever, then that is what is needed.

I did not get a call back until the next day telling me that I must come in to sign the new contract with the higher interest rate. I told them that I wasn't interested in doing that and that I'd be more than happy to return the car and take the original contract with me. They asked me to come into the dealership that night to discuss options with General Manager as due to the privacy policy, they couldn't have that discussion on the phone.

I came in right after work and the finance manager came in to discuss that i would need to sign this new contract. He explained that I got such a great deal on the vehicle and they made no money so they couldn't buy down the interest rate. I pointed out that I bought the car at $100 over invoice plus paid a $700 dealer fee — so they obviously made something. He told me that it cost them $250 to have my vehicle detailed. (Pretty crazy since the car didn't even need to be detailed... And you could have taken it to the car wash for $20!)

I told him that I would not sign a new contract and offered him the keys. He told me that he needed to see what the General Manager wanted to do.

A new manager came in to again push for me to sign this new contract. I again explained I wasn't interested. He said "The difference is $10 a month... Is that such a big deal?" I told him that I agreed to the lower interest rate and that is what I would do... Nothing else. He told me that he would pay for a tank of gas so that I could drive to the credit union to become a member and then get the lower rate. I told him that I'm not spending my time (getting out of work, etc) to go do something that was their fault. I then offered the keys and he went to discuss with General Manager.

The Finance Manager (1st guy) came back. He told me that he was going to talk to credit union to get them to do the lower rate for me. I questioned why he was going to do this when he and I both previously discussed with credit union and were well aware of the requirements on the rate. He didn't answer and told me I needed to complete a membership form. I told him I already did that when I signed contract; he couldn't find. (Big surprise there. Can't give me right price, can't give me right interest rate and now can't keep my paperwork!)

He told me that he needed my 2 most recent paystubs and asked if I had on me. (1 - who carries their paystubs and 2 - why is this needed? They didn't need it on Sunday!) I told him I didn't have and he asked to follow me to my house so that he could get them. Ummm NO! (No way I was going to let him follow me home. And then let him take my original paystubs!)

I left the dealership and 10 minutes later I get a call from a bank who was verifying my information on an application through their dealership. (They decided to shop around now for interest rates. Shouldn't have they done that on Monday when they got the notice from Credit Union!??) Of course, even the information they provided to the bank was wrong — had my birth year as 1928 instead of 1981.. Pretty close though!

The next morning, I faxed them my paystubs. Heard nothing all day long.

Today (Friday), I called around 9 and left a message. No return call. At 11, I called again and got the finance manager. He informed me that he was waiting to hear back from the credit union and expected to hear by Monday. I called the credit union and was told that they had no contact with the dealership regarding my loan since Monday when they told them they would not buy the loan from them at the interest rate on the contact. (So basically I was lied to!) I called finance manager back immediately and again got voicemail.

About 2 hours later, I called again and left another message for finance manager since he didn't return my call. I then called again and talked to the Sales Manager and was told that he would have him call me ASAP.

About 2 hours later, I called yet again and finally got the Finance Manager again. I was told the contract was in the mail to the credit union so he had no answer for me. He was completely rude to me about the whole situation; I've never been treated so poorly! I asked if I could bring in the car and get the contract from him and just be done but was told 'No' because they had no contract since it was in the mail to the credit union.

I called credit union back to inform them that the application is on it's way. Again was told that they had no correspondence with dealership since Monday and didn't know why they would be sending in that original contract since they would not accept it with that interest rate on it.

I called dealership back and got another manager. Told him that I have not nor would I be driving the car until I even get confirmation that the loan went through or that it didn't, and I would promptly return. He told me that everything is a done deal and that they bought down the interest rate. (Now why didn't the finance manager tell me that when I asked?!?)

Bottom line, they are extremely rude and try to con you into anything. They tell you that you MUST come in to talk about things and then the person you were supposed to meet with stays locked in his office while the other managers discuss with you and then go whisper in his office and then come back with yet another offer. They try to milk you for every penny you have and will not admit to their mistakes too easily.

I have purchased several cars in my young age and this absolutely tops my list of bad experiences! I will NEVER step foot in that dealership again unless it is to return the car if the contract/loan does not go through. I do not trust them one bit — so my car will continue to sit in the garage until I get proof of a done deal.

These people are shady and manipulate you every way possible. I also didn't understand why they put on some much pressure for me to buy the car at invoice when they made no money supposedly. Obviously, they did make a good deal of money.

Unfortunately for their company, I will not return for service; and will make sure that no one I know ever spends 1 penny in that dealership. YOu would think they would be happy to have business the way the ecomony is — but instead they treat their customers like garage; don't return calls; give false numbers to get you into the office; pressure you into a sale; screw up the interest rate; lose paperwork; and who knows what else!!!
