Purchased a low mileage 55000 mile classic 2002 XJR that had a catastrophic failure the next day

I purchased a 2002 XJR 100 select edition vehicle paid cash. The ad I responded to was placed on the internet by Jaguar of Cincinnati an authorized Jaguar dealer and OEM parts and authorized service dealer. The car had less than 55000 miles and the ad placed by Jaguar advertised a select edition warranty with the car.

I paid for the car and picked it up on Sept 2 to drive back to Texas. I left Cincinnati on Sept. 3. On Sept 4 the car failed in the passing lane of I-35 South in Waco Texas. I immediately rolled off to the side. The car was towed from that site directly to an authorized dealer in Austin Texas. Upon inspection it was revealed that the transmission had been recently removed or replaced. This information was NEVER revealed to me at anytime prior to or upon delivery of the vehicle.

This car was presented in documented e-mails, display ads, and internet postings as a pristine low mileage classic used car offered by an authorized Jaguar dealer.

I believe I have a reasonable expectation of usable life that exceeds more than one day of use and 1000 miles. This car has been in the lot of the Jaguar dealer in Austin, Texas since it was towed. All correspondence and requests for repairs or refunds have either been ignored or rejected.
