Stole Security/Remote Start System, Stereo, Floor Mats and $4 mirrors... How Pathetic

I told them everything!!! I told them I work under contract only. I told them I haven't worked this year. I told them I didn't care if I was able to get that 2006 Titan. I am happy with my 2006 Xterra. No problem, they said. We'll get you financing. Cool huh?

Well, we started the paperwork. Anything wrong with the Xterra? Nothing mechanical... The DVD hasn't worked since I bought it. No problems... Right? Sure. We continued with the paperwork. Finance department had all the contract and application paperwork... I signed, they submitted, I left with the 2006 Titan. Really cool huh? Sure.

Three days later... Need to sign some more papers. The financing was declined. No problem. "Are you going to take the truck back?"

Noooooo, you're going to keep the truck (according the finance rep). I signed the new papers.

Few days later... We need you to give your references... No problem, I'll be there in couple of hours. I gave the references.

Few days later... We need you to give us more reference information and 90 days of bank statements. WHAT? Fine, I'll be there in a few hours. Upset, I went there without the information. Just take the truck back, I don't want to go thru this anymore.

Nooooo, you're going to be able to keep the truck.

I looked outside and saw my Xterra on the line to be sold. I haven't even been approved for financing yet!!! Oh well, not my problem right? Sure.

Two days later... I receive a certified letter from McCarthy with all the title paperwork needing to be signed and returned. Well, I was going up there that day to give the bank statements and reference information. I arrived, the finance guy says that he can't find financing for me. He walked away. I looked outside and guess what. My Xterra was sold!!! I told Mardini (finance) that I am leaving. When you find the financing... Call me.

5 days later... I receive a call from Mardini. Can't find me financing. I have to return the Titan, and my Xterra has been returned to McCarthy for me to pick up. Cool. I still didn't care, I love my Xterra.

I went up there around 1pm that day and was informed that the person who bought it. "accidently" kept the keys and won't be back until after 4pm. Seems reasonable. I left.

7 pm, same day... I return to McCarthy to trade vehicles. They give my key to the Xterra and I noticed that the Viper key chain was not included. I asked Shawn Robinson (sales manager) about it. He said that it was taken off and thrown away. Right... I demanded I be compensated. He explained that I got a new DVD player and that he lost money on this deal. I advised him I would be back.

I went to my Xterra, opened the door and guess what? Yeah, the space in the dash for my stereo... Empty! Nothing there. I confronted Shawn Robinson again... Didn't matter. I called the police, they show up and inform me it's Civil, not criminal. (Theft is not criminal at a dealership I guess)

(here's how I see it: I leave the Xterra at McCarthy, they realize they need to get rid of me for a few hours so they can steal my equipment from it while I'm gone... Hmmmm... Makes sense huh?)

Just another victim, I drive off, look thru the window... About 10 McCarthy personnel were just smiling at me as I drove off. I looked up the value of the DVD player they "gave me..." $260. Later I noticed they stole the rubber floor mats and even the little $4 back up mirrors I put on the side mirrors. Wow. Now look. I am having to waste my time writing everybody about this. Attorney General, BBB, Nissan Corporation, McCarthy Regional Office. How pathetic. What happened to the good ole days when a hand shake sealed the deal. A promise was a promise and honor meant something.

I'm not telling people to not shop at McCarthy Nissan, but if you decide to not buy from them... Tell them why and if you can... Reply to this. Maybe I'll be compensated for what was stolen from me. I'll post comments in the future to keep the public informed.
