I purchased a 2006 Nissan Xterra for a local dealer. After driving the Xterra less than a month it developed a rattle in the fuel (gas) tank. I took it into the dealer to be repaired and we were told that Nissan acknowledged they have a problem with some Xterra fuel tanks and the fuel pump rattles inside the fuel tank. Nissan has said that they will not fix the problem because they can not guarantee that it will not happen again. The Xterra comes with a 3 year - 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty, or so they say. Nissan will not honor their warranties on their vehicles. The dealer insist that they can not do anything because Nissan will not back up the warranty.
