I am having a checking account with Chevy Chase bank since 1990. And before it was merged with Caiptal Bank I was getting the interes on my account from the Chevy Cahse Bank.
Ever since it was merged with Capitla one (worst bank) I didn't get any interest. I don't know who has changed the terms of this account.
I called copulr of time to the bank, but the customer service was so bad that most of the time they Hangup the calls. I eveen raised this issue with their Wood Bridge, VA, branch in June 2012, and your staff memeber (Nick Abiera) confirmed that is is a interest checking account and why I was not paid any interest for the balance I maniintained for last three years. He has written an e-mail to their HQ and said that I'll get the interest.
NO ACTION was takend by this bank.
The most funny part is that last month the bank charged me $15 as sercice charges. And whne I asked about this they responded that this is a Incredible Interest Checking account is subject to the fees. And when I asked that WHERE IS INTEREST for last three years? They said we don't know. THIS IS the reply I got from them.
I am trying to let other people know about the malpractices adopted bt this bank. WHAT A FUNNY SYSYTEM - the customer is not paid interest for last more than three years, but the bank didn't forgot to charge the maintenace fees.
Serviceof the bank is so poor, that you called them and wait for hours and the CSR are so unprofessional and non-cooperative that they simly hang the phone.
