I wrote a letter to the President and CEO of Bank of America telling him what I thought of the BOA raising my interest fees on my credit card which, up to that point, I had been paying on time. I received a call from one of his Administrative Assistants, who informed me that the reason the credit card interest rates went up was because "it was the government's fault". When I mentioned that my credit score was ruined and that I was going to go to credit counseling, she was in agreement with me and encouraged me to go. Wasn't that special.
I have been with Bank of America ever since they bought out Nations Bank.in fact, my account has been in the same bank building for 20 years. After being a loyal customer, I saw the handwriting on the wall and transferred my account to another bank with no fees and no hassles.
BOA is only interested in "quick" cash from it's customers either through huge interest fees on it's credit cards or higher banking fees. Do yourself a favor and transfer your bank account elsewhere and drop that BOA credit card, too.
