Chase credit card service is not customer friendly ripoff

We live in Texas, I went to pay my on my credit card with Chase on the 20th of the month, which was the last day to make a payment without penitlies.

I made my payment at about 3PM our time. At the local Chace Bank less than 3 miles from home.

My next statment showed a late charge, one of my accounts interest had been raised to 11.99%, from 2.99%.

When I call them they said that because I was late on the payment, according to the stipulations on the back of the statement they raised my interest rate. I told them that I had made the payment before the bank closed at 3PM.

I was informed that I didn't make the payment on time, their time in Deleware, which is Eastern time not Central.

I complained to them and them talked to a Supervisor and got the same message. Sorry but you didn't make a payment on time.

My wife had called them months before and explained that I was on disability as of June and that we would continue to make the payments but that we may have to make just an interest payment sometime to them. She was in formed that they would put us down as a hardship.

This is were the rub comes in with Chase. WE Never had to make just the interest but as before continued to make a $300 payment as in the past when all that was due each month was about $150.

Their aduitors reviewed this later and sent us letters stating that they are reducing our interest to original rates and refunding to our account the extra interest charges.

I had in this time made arrangements to pay them off, Close to $11,000.
I informed them that it would be paid off when we got the letters.

They responded by Re-appling the higher interest. Taking back the interest refunded to my account.

I took the check to the local Chase Bank on the the 2nd of the month. They cashed it and held it till the last day, 20th of month, then posted the payment.

At my request returned the overpayment, thus closing the account and then charged me interest again and sent me a bill.

At this time I am refusing to pay them this interest. I asked why they hadn't deduced this interest and the time they posted and was informed that they don't recalculate the interest except on the 20th of the month and that I had asked for my refund overpayment before the calculation date.

Don't use chase bank. They don't card about their customers.
