This company is a rip off; I wished I've done my homework prior to signing an agreement with them. I initially had a 36 months agreement with CHW and I ended up cancelling it in 8 months b/c they refuse to pay for all my claims. I've had a total of 3 claims with them and all of them were denied. The last one was as of last month. I've had a leak from the drainage system of my AC unit. At first they claim they would not cover for it b/c the leak was supposedly on the outside of the house i.E. Crawl space. After a long argument with one of their customer rep over the phone, they finally dispatch a plumber. They still did not want to pay for repair by stating the drain was not properly installed, and also they do not cover drains when it is clearly stated in my contract that drains are covered; therefore, it should be my problem to fix not theirs. I ended up paying out of pocket to get it fix; that's after I pay for the $60 service fee. I ended up cancelling my policy with them. Now they are trying to charge me all sort of fees including a $50 cancelling fee, pro-rated monthly payment of $51 and charging me full amount for all the previous repairs on all the previous claims which they did not pay for in the first place. They want to refund me $450.00 that after only 8 months when I pay them about 1500.00 for a 36 month policy. I'm so ready to fight this thing with all I have. I've seen several people have fallen in the same trap set forth by CHW. What they are doing is not legal. They pretend they pay for certain items and try to place some clauses in the contract that would make it impossible for you to even have the simplest item in your house fix. I think we should all take action agianst CHW b/c what they are doing is unethical, unfair and not legal. We should all report them to the BBB and also try to take the necessary step to file a class action suit against them. Their agreement is FRAUDULENT and need to come to a stop before anybody else become a victim. They have a TWO AND HALF STAR rating, I think it should go down to 1 and zero even.
