We switched to Colonial Home Warranty last February after being with AHS for 2 years due to the higher cost of the AHS home warranty. What a mistake!!! I have had 4 claims denied since February. The icing on the cake was the A/C unit they refuse to replace. When I called in the original claim, they sent a contractor who found that the door to the fan was off and thought it was fixed. He checked the freon on this call and said I didn't have a leak. During the following week, I continued to call because it wasn't cooling. Finally, he found that we did, in fact, have a freon leak (after spending another $340) and the leak was in the unit. After waiting 5 days, I finally hear that they are not going to cover it because the leak was caused by "rust or corrosion" and that it is "in their contract" that they do not cover damage caused by rust or corrosion. We are cancelling our coverage!
