Colonial is the WORST home warranty company that I have ever worked with. DO NOT LET THEM SEND A CONTRACTOR AND PAY THE FEE until you are POSITIVE that they will cover whatever your problem is. Otherwise you will have to pay the contractor fee just for an estimate that would normally have been FREE! Trust me when I say you would be better off blindly contacting an unkown contractor than dealing with them. I have 3 claims for my pool pump, my dishwaser and my oven. All three were denied or have not been serviced at ALL - even though the contract states that these items are covered. On my dishwasher, since GE warranties the door of the dishwasher for 25 years, Colonial will not cover ANY PART of the dishwasher "because part of the dishwasher is covered under mfg warranty" - so if you have a GE dishwasher - do NOT count on Colonial covering it - even though it says they will in their contract. Additionally, I filed a dispute about the pool claim being denied - and their contract says they have 30 days to respond. I am on the phone currently with them and the rep is now telling me that if the dispute is not favorable that they do not contact you back at all. Same old song and dance. This company needs to be shut down and quick. I will do whatever in my power to keep them from stealing money from further consumers
