I paid around $500 for a policy with Colonial Home Warranty. Thank god its almost over! It has ended up costing me more to have them! 3 different times I have made claims with them, my ac unit, my dryer, and most recently my dishwasher. The contractor came out and looked at my dishwasher and said the pump was bad and needed to be replaced. He'd call me when the parts came in. After a week of hearing nothing I called him back and he said Colonial had advised them that the "issue had been resolved". HUH? Thats news to me!!! I called colonial and they said since any part of the dishwasher is still under factory warranty then they were denying the claim for replacing the pump. Mind you the pump isn't under warranty, just the racks, seal and tub, but since those are under warranty with LG then they won't fix the pump. What the f*#k! I paid my policy in full, had to pay the contractor to come put and look at it, and now I still have to pay for the repairs and the parts, even thou the contract says its covered??? Total RIPOFF!!! Do Not use Colonial Home Warranty unless you just need a way to spend alot of extra money!
