Citibank charges customer rather than obtain accurate info from their own records - Citibank home equity line of credit

One day when making a payment online, I discovered that CitiBank had charged $5,125.00 against my home equity loan. They did not notify me, nor was there any comprehensible explanation given in my account record. After several phone calls, I was told that they had no evidence that I had homeowner's insurance, so they had charged me for it. I called their insurance dept., which claimed that they had tried to contact me, but had received no response. I asked where they sent it, and it was an incorrect address. They told me to call customer service & correct the address. When I checked it, the correct address was already there! So, apparently, they did not bother to check THEIR OWN RECORDS, preferring instead to charge my account! It has been two days since I sent proof of insurance, but they have still not corrected it.

Apparently, despite all the claims of how important my business is to them in their online messages, THEY JUST DON'T CARE. They will soon no longer have my business!
