Where to begin. They are legalized scam artists

Where to begin. I submitted my application for a loan modification on April 2. I had submitted it because my hours at work went from 30 hours a week to 10 in december. My husbands job also cut overtime in january so we knew we were gonna get hit hard. I was told the modification would take 45 to 60 days.in May, I had called them to inform them there was no way I was going to get the payment in on time and asked if that would affect the modification and I was told no it wouldn't. I did call a couple of times and ask that question because we all know it depends on who you talk to. Every time i was told it wouldn't be an issue. I mailed out the payment on June 2nd. I waited and waited and I never saw the payment clear my account. I kept calling they said they never recieved it and mind you I called every day to the loss mitigation dept the home owners assist depart, because it would take 45 to 60 days. We are now into 90 days waiting for an answer. I called again on June 28th give or take a day, and they still didnt recieve my payment and at that point I was told that since it was late i was suppose to mail it to a different address. Of course I asked that why then in the 75 phones I have made to every department you have did no one tell me that. Of course they had no answer. So now my 30 day late payment is going to be 60 days late because they have no idea where it is. I spoke to someone on July 2 and they told me they did recieve my payment on June 30th but because it was 30 days late they would not accept it and they sent it back. That they would no longer accept payments unless it was the full amount. Which it being July wnd and all that meant i had to come up with 3 mths of payments.

So now we were still waiting for this modification to go through, you know the one that was going to take 60 days, we are now at 120 days into the process. I continue to call daily.in the middle of august i had spoken to a girl and i asked the status of my modification and she didnt have an answer and in my frustration I had said, I dont understand why you would not accept payments from me when I was only 30 days late and force me AND THEM to modify my loan for more $ when it made more sense to roll in 1 pmt and not 4. She then said we wouldn't have done that and I said yes you would, I have the letter from you people.

Heres the best part, I finally got the modification papers sent to me. I was originally paying 1427 a month. My new payment, 1897. Is anyone else just as confused as i am. If i needed help for 1 mth at 1427 what did they think 1897 for 40 years was going to do. It was amazing because as soon as i got those papers they called me 2x a day asking me if I accepted the offer. I couldnt speak to one person to get information because you know the underwriters are too busy but now that they got off their a* with that stupid offer Im suppose to be greatful and thankful that they actually did something. Uh no. It took them almost 6 mths to come back with a higher payment, extended term and tacking on 12,000.00 for a missed payment of 1427. I dont care who you are this makes no sense what-so-ever. I did not buy this house with no money down. To the contrary i did put money down I also put alot of money into the home. I did not buy a 6 million dollar piece of property making 15000 a year.

They truly forced us into a foreclosure/short sale position. I hope someone sues them and contacts me because I will be at the court house at the crack of dawn if it would prevent someone else from going thru this nightmare.

Now we are in October, I had put the house up for sale in mid september as a short sale which killed me because we are losing 50-60 grand in down payment and upgrades because i missed one payment back in may. But guess what, and this is what really gets me, I waited 6 months for an answer to be able to keep my home for me and my children, it took them 6 months to modify the loan to a ridiculously higher payment, but for the short sale, it will be done in under 2 months.

I thought those programs were suppose to be there to help people stay in their homes i thought the money i was forced to lend them thru the government was suppose to help me and my family. I was tempted to tell them to sell my share of stock since I like the rest of us technically own the bank, to sell the stock and pay off the F%@# mortage.

They are legalized scam artists, they string you along, one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. They have forced me out of my home for 1 pmt. 1 pmt turned into 2 then 3 then 4 only to be told they screwed up it shouldn't have been done and they should have kept the pament in a suspense account.

What a dispicable company. And shame on our government for allowing them to get away with it.
