We have been in contact with Wells Fargo, Loss Mitigation Department to modify our mortgage for over a year, with constant delays where they regularly reset the "30-40 days" waiting for response. About seven months ago we were placed in a Trial Payment Program for three months which (FHA-HAMP so we thought) was supposedly the last step before modifying our loan. After making the final payment, we called Wells Fargo, who told us that we would have to wait to be contacted regarding our modification. During this period we contacted Wells Fargo and asked if we could continue to make partial payments but were told that partial payments would be denied. During this period we also received a few overnight mail envelopes requesting documents which had already been sent on more then one occasion. Finally after seven moths of waiting we were contacted by loss mitigation notifying us that our modification request had been denied - that our home was now in the foreclosure process. After requesting an explanation they simply stated that the investor had declined the loan modification.
