Bank Of America
Double charged due to authorizations, which triggered overdraft fees which triggered more overdraft fees

First off, the trigger for this whole situation may have been me... The problem was that the practices of Bank of America, made very well sure that there was no way to fix the spiral of fees unless I transferred a massive amount to my checking account.

I had an automatic deduction from my checking account for a Public Storage space that I didn't expect. I saw that my account was low that morning so I transferred another $100 into it. Later that day shows a $169 authorization on the account another $43 authorization, and finally a $13 authorization which put the authorization amount below my account balance on that account by $1.

At that point it was probably my fault, because I forgot about the automatic payment to PS. Here's where it gets fun. 7-11 Authorizes for $7 Triggering an overdraft fee of $25 and two $5 subway charges trigger 2 more fees for $28 each...

Next day my account is back up to $197 because they were just authorizations and nothing showed me in the account that there were overdraft fees in progress because they don't show you that kind of thing on the main page until it's already taken out.

Now the exact same charges that were authorized the day before are now charged on Friday... Causing... You guessed it, overdraft fees because the overdraft fees pushed my account down to where the public storage amount pushed the account over the limit again. At this point I see that the account is overdrawn and transfer $250 into the account because the only thing showing on the web page is $30 overdrawn. But guess what... It's after 5pm, so none of this is going to take effect until the next business day... Monday... So now even though I transferred cash in, the other authorizations trigger more overdrafts for monday... Namely 2 overdrafts for $35 knocking down my account more, because now all 3 ~$30 overdrafts the first day and 2 ~$33 overdrafts the second day plus the mistake of going to the store on monday (I mean I took care of this right) pushed me back over... Yet again... So now the extra trips to subway for $5 each and quick breakfast as 7-11 and two tiny purchases at around $5 each triggered 5 MORE OVERDRAFT FEES.

So now I get to tap into my limited savings to try and stave off the psychotic amount of fees on top of fees that I've managed to acquire in 3 DAYS
