Citi Mortgage
Refusees to acknowledge a payment was made

We made our mortgage payment for November on 11/28 and I checked our page on their web site to make sure the payment was received and it indicated that our next payment due was for December. A

About a week later I check the web page again to see if our property taxes were paid and found that they had changed the next payment due to November again. I called them to see what was going on and was told that the $750.00 was returned by my bank so I got on my banks website while I had them on the phone and found that it was not returned and they requested that I fax a copy of the statement and gave me the number. I whited out all information other than the area that indicated that amount had cleared and faxed it.

Two day's later I called to get status and they said "we never received anything" I told them that I had a copy of the confirmation and found that their employeee gave me the wrong fax number. They gave me a different number and I faxed again. I called the next day and they said they received the fax but they needed a few days to researsh. I waited a few days and called again - they said to wait another couple days. I called again and they said that payment was applied to October because that was never paid. WHAT? I informed that that October was paid and asked them if they needed proof of that as well and they said not right now call back in a few days.

So I called again and they said the amount was returned by my bank on 12/2. I called my bank and they said that was not the case and that Citi Mortgae attempted to take an additional $790.00 out of our account and that did not clear. I called Citi Mortgage again and inquired as to why they tried to take that amount out and they still said it was the initial amount that did not clear. I then requested that we get on a three way call with my bank and Citi Mortgage refused to do that. I informed Citi that I would not be making the December payment until this was cleared up and they said call back in a couple days. I called back again and was told that I had not provided enough information to prove that Novembers payment was made. I asked them what it was that they needed and they said a statement from my credit union.

The next day we received a letter warning us of foreclosure due to November and December payment being late. I went to my credit union and they gave me a letter stating once again the November payment was made and not reversed and also gave me a report stating the amout had cleared the bank. I called Citi to inform them that I had the infromation and would be faxing it the following day. The women was rude and said " well the first statement you faxed did not indicate the funds that were in the bank at the time" and I said that is none of your business the only thing you need to know is that the payment was made. I faxed the letter the next day and here we are three days later have not heard anything.

Can anythng be sone about this? I think Citi is targeting homeowners who owe much less than what their home is worth trying to push them out. I have copies of everything! I called ten times, emailed four times, faxed three times!
