I took my mortgage over in 2006. I made my first payment in November, but come to find out Chase never received my payment. I didn't find out until December, so this affected my credit report. I called and asked what they needed to proof I paid for it in November. I paid thru my online banking. So Chase stated they needed paperwork from the bank to be sent to them. My bank sent them the information, as I sent a copy of my bank statement showing the payment.
I called back to see what was being done and it was stated they never received any paperwork from my bank or myself. Chase opened an investigation but closed it due to them stating they never received any paperwork showing any evidence of the payment.
I found out I had one number wrong on the loan number when I submitted the payment. When I resubmitted another copy of my bank statement and the bank sent another copy of the electronic payment to them, they again stated they never received them. Electronic payments can only be pulled up after so many months of the payment, then it's out of the banks system.
I have one question. If they have my bank account information, the date the payment went thru and the exact amount that was paid ($1100.00). How can they not find the payment? Now this has affected my credit which I've been trying to keep clean and this is on it. Plus, I'm still fighting them over a year to get my ex husbands name off the property.
I don't recommend this company for a home mortgage or a credit card. Which the credit card is a whole other problem.
