My account, like Larry in Dayton Ohio, was sold to Fairbanks Capital Corp. I was told that I was behind a payment, although I was not. I had my payments deducted every 2 weeks from my account when it was with my previous lender, I got my bank statements together and faxed them to Fairbanks, but it has been 2 months and they say that I am still behind one payment.
I recieved a "demand for payment" or "I could lose my home" notice 2 days ago. They say I have to pay 2 payments AND late fees or they will begin with foreclosure. I have called on numerous occasions, everytime you have to speak with someone different. No one has answers, they tell me it could take up to 8 weeks for them to clear up the "discrepency", but in the meantime, they still could proceed with taking my home!
I just found out by reading your reports that my previous loan company "Household Finance" is also on your Rip Off List. Does this mean they are in on this together?
What do I do?
