My husband and I got a second mortgage through City Morgate after a couple of years our account was sold to Ocwen Federal Bank. The only paperwork we have ever received from them was the letter notifying us of the change, which included our new account number, mailing payment address, telephone numbers, etc.
We only received a statement for the first few months, the first time we didn't get one, I personally called them at the number on the letter. They gave the run around transfering me from one number to another and finally I was able to speak with somebody who said that my account was a special one which I didn't understand the whole explanation.
Anyway, he said to send the payment anyway and I should receive a statement on the mail. Since I didn't want to be in trouble for being late with my payment I went and go ahead and mail the payment without a statement. Ever since we have not receive not one single statement from them. My husband and I also noticed that no matter how early we send our payment they alway take a long time to cash our check, which now that I've read all the other complaints about this company just proves to me that they're doing it on purpose to collect a late charge or worse yet more interest. We are in the process of taking our loan to another company and I truly hope that this helps other people not to make the same mistake or if you were fooled like we were, get out of it ASAP.
