I have my mortgage through Ocwen Federal Bank. From day one I have had problems with them. My loan was sold to them and I was told in a letter to send the payment to them and I was given an address. Well I sent my payment off and they kept on calling me telling me they hadn't received the payment. After several weeks and communicating, I finally had to cancel the check and send them a new one.
My payment is due on the first of each month but I have until the 15th of the month to make the payment. Every month they would call me the day after the 1st and ask me where my payment was. I asked them, don't I have until the 15th? And they would reply, well yes. So why on earth were they calling me. The employess are extremly rude and half of them I could hardly understand. No one seemed to know what was going on with my account. I finally had to send a letter to customer relations demanding that they do not call me anymore and to send a letter if they needed to contact me.
Then some unfortunate job problems arose and because of certain pay days I couldn't make my payment on time. I called them to let them know my situation and they would not work with me. I find it funny that on some documents it states that they are here to listen and help out. Ya right. So, I have had to pay my payment late and they keep charging me late fees. It should be against the law to charge late fees.
Anyway, my concern is that I recieved a letter today saying that Ocwen is selling my loan to another company. I couldn't be more happier to get away from them. Then I found this website and read some letters from others. I am worried because my loan is being sold to America's Servicing Company. Are they associated with Ocwen? If they are, I dread the new company. I can't find anything else about them on the internet. I am hoping someone can give me some answers.
