Aspire Visa
What Thieves Account paid off but then sent to collections Ripoff

I was recently contacted by an attorney who said that they had purchased my account from Aspire Visa. I spoke with a representative and our conversation was going along just fine until I was transferred to an account manager. I have had an account with Aspire Visa and my balance was small, 364.00 to be exact. And I also had insurance on my account in case of accident or loss of employment. (joke). Then my payments fell behind due to loss of employment and I contacted Aspire Visa to let them know, and when speaking with a so called customer service rep. They tell me that I need to contact the insurance company where the insurance was purchased through. So I asked them where I could find this number and she hung up on me. I then spoke with someone in management and he retrieved the number for me so that I may contact them. I contacted the insurance company they sent me a form to fill out and send back to them along with Aspire which I did. I then recieved a letter from the insurance company needing further information from my employer which I provided to them. I then recieved another letter from this insurance company saying that my balance had been paid. I kept all of my letters for records and I am glad I did, because then in Nov Aspire put this on my credit as a charge off which prevented me from gaining employment with a certain company, so I contacted Aspire Visa and they told me that it was not paid and that I would need to provide proof. So I faxed over a copy of the letter to management and they accepted it, I recieved a call from them again demanding payment dec. So I explained to them that the balance of 364.00 was paid off by my insurance company, and they told me that there were late charges that had not been paid in the amount that the insurance company paid. So I told them fine I would mail them a money order for the remaining balance of 36.26. I contacted Aspire Visa right after the first of the year and they said that they closed my account and that all balances were paid. Now I am recieving nagging phones calls from this attorney who says that I owe Aspire Visa over 1200.00. I have since spoke with Jay Putnam at Aspire Visa and he is now working with me in order to resolve the situation at hand. I will keep you posted on all events that happen with this matter. But as of now it has not been resolved. I am very frustrated...
