Ripoff This company prays on the naive

I feel really bad for people that were suckered in by this company, I had a friend of the family that did and I almost tried it, but even looking for a job I avoided it.

My experience with Primerica was back in 2001 when I was still an undergrad. I had just transfered to a school in my home town to finish my degree, and blown through my life savings.

I needed a job in the worst way. Two weeks after I was back in town a friend of my father visited and mentioned a Primerica job meeting. I was excited, though meeting at 7 pm seemed kind of odd.

He gave me a ride to the meeting after about 20 minutes I knew this was a pure scam.

Ask yourself, what legit company would feel the need to spend 20 minutes of a meeting explaining why they aren't crooks?

After the hour long meeting they showed this big thing on the screen that said "Its time for a change". It was creepy, how they were trying to force it on you. Like you could feel the desperation in the air.

It was also scary the way they trashed on every other insurance company. They made every insurance company in the world besides primerica look like the antichrist or worst.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any less professional, it got worse.

They displayed one salesman as a "success" story, putting together his story it was clear he worked for 3 weeks to make $800. Subtract the $200 fee and you are looking at $600 in 3 weeks before taxes. What a joke. McDonalds pays better than that in most places.

Even though I needed a job there was no way I was going for it, on the ride back my father's friend kept on the pressure trying to get me to go again, and said he would try and get me into a couple of meetings without paying the $200 fee. I just clearly let him know there was no way I was going to get into this. He seemed so sad and defeated. I could tell the back of his mind was telling him he blew $200 on nothing but he wanted to believe there was a chance.

Stay away from this place.
