I cannot believe FCNB has sold my account to a collection agency after I finally paid them off in August. I must be honest and say that I had my card since 1999, and fell into some financial difficulty after delivering permature twins, and had to stop working. But I scraped up the money to get them off my credit report. Now to sell my account to Midland Credit Management in San Diego, CA is horrible and wrong. On my credit report it shows that my account was paid in so why would they sell it 3 years later. Now I call Midland and let them know that the account was paid, and because I lived in another state at the time, just can't find my papers. There answer to me was, " Sorry, we can't take the word of the credit bureau because they report wrong information often". WHAT! Some higher ups had to send them that information to get it report, so I have to suffer the consequence of doing the leg work for your company. And yet and still they the credit bureau reports wrong info, that didn't stop them (Midland Credit Management) to report the SAME wrong info. And they probably knew that FCNB was suspect all along. But I have more than 1 credit report from at least 2 of the credit bureaus that shows the same information of when it was paid and closed. FCNB has dropped from my credit report, but Midland has taken their place and I'm furious about that. I will be forwarding this information of the complaints for FCNB from this website and the BBB to Transunion, Equifax, and Experian to see what they'll do. I'm not sure if any of you done that, but I believe with FTC laws and so forth, we all should be able to get justice.

FCNB has 804 complaints to date; 690 were for billing and collection issues; 65 were for customer service.
Most people have the same ill feeling for attorneys, but in the case I think some attorney should see dollar signs in way of a class action suit.
