Suspicious and possibly fraudulent activity to me. My almost three year old washer that I purchased from Sears broke the other day. When I called for service under my protection plan I was told that the Sears Store in Lafayette, LA, cancelled the protection plan (only on my washing machine not my dryer) a month and a few days after I purchased it and credited the credit card that they had on file from my purchase of the plan. When I asked Sears to provide me with documentation showing that I authorized this transaction, they said that they could cancel at any time without my authorizaton or approval. I referred to my Master Protection Plan agreement and it states that they cannot by law cancel it without notifying me. After weeks of waiting for them to provide documentation to me (washer broke 3/11 today is 4/2) or acknowledge that they did something against the law and make it right by replacing my broken beyond repair washing machine. I received a phone call yesterday with a final offer of 25% off of the purchase of the same washer they sold me in 2010. And the Blue Ribbon Customer Service rep, Matilda, accused ME of being dishonest by stating that I "had to have called and cancelled the protection plan". Prove it to me Sears. I am the honest one here. I have never experiences anything so pitiful from a company in my life. Reputation is how you build your business. Sears no longer has a good reputation. Beware.
