Today 03/12 I received a phony letter from a company named Financial Acquisition Agency (FAA) with their logo on the top right side of a eagle with this name around the eagle. This scam letter states the letter is a payment pending memorandum and that for the pending payment accounting amount of $2,342, 000.00 in non-disbursed funds with a tracking code 7422043590 is to be verified by me and that my name has been cleared as eligible recipient for these funds and that I must verify my information by signing and giving permission for my funds to be forwarded to me via first class mail. This letter also states that the claim must be postmarked by midnight 03/18. There is s fake signature of a unknown person in the middle of the letter and at the right bottom in a box labeled official use only it appears to have the same signature but my jumbled. This letter also has a fake check that states "Not a check - Do not cash" with the amount that I stated above in red numbers and the tracking code is also present on this fake check. I am glad that I researched this company before making a bad mistake. I have been scammed before out of thousands of dollars so I am more proactive when I get requests for my bank information or verification of my address and name. I hope these crooks get caught and pay dearly for thoses victims that they may have already scammed.
