I recently moved to the area (Niceville, fl) and I needed to get my highlights redone because my roots had grown about 2 inches. I get very heavy highlights and I endup having more blonde than brown. I went in and told the beautician that I needed the highlights updated and blended ALL THE WAY THROUGH my hair, the inside layer, the ends of my hair, ALL OF IT. As she was separating my hair into large sections, she pointed out how heavy my color was and I replied with yes, if you'd please do the heavy highlighting with the new coloring as well. Remember how I asked for it to be blended EVERYWHERE. Yeah that didn't happen. She only put dye from the root to where the old highlights were, and stopped there. She also did a very light amount of color. For a comparison/visual effect, for this amount of hair in a chunk: & only this much was color: — yeah that's some really heavy color huh?! Not!!! Then, I had a coupon for a Free cut AND STYLE. She cut it, but didn't ask how much I wanted off. And then, she said my hair was "too thick" to dry it all, so she left most of it wet and sent me home. I got home and after my hair was dry, I looked in the mirror and I had conditioner still in my hair making it look greasy, and the worst part, you can see EXACTLY where my roots had grown out. The new color was SO LIGHT and spread out and thin, that you could see the brown CLEAR AS DAY. I am furious. I wanted my hair to look nice before school started but it just looks CHEAP.
