I had an appointment for hair root color touch-up and trim for 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 8. I had been coloring my hair for about a year and it had gotten very long and I wanted a trim and a style that was one length — about one and a half or two inches off the ends.
I arrived and the "? Stylist" Shannon started in with her "dissertation" on "HAIR". I did tell her about my previous "stylists" since my "perfect" hair stylist had left suddenly because of poor health from the same salon and I had gone from one to another to try to duplicate his expertise of styling and coloring my hair for several years. He was, in my mind the "Best of the Best" in Fort Myers, Fl. I had beautiful long, lightest auburn hair with blond hightlights and needed a root touch, and a trim. She asked if I had ever had highlights and I said yes. So she pushed highlights, a color shine package and color glaze along with a cut and blow-dry. She wanted to do it all at the same time "so we could start out fresh". She stated that she was putting in highlights and color glaze, etc, and "her" chemistry package". I WAS THERE FOR FOUR HOURS, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONE HOUR, and what the final result was, was a horror nightmare which should not happen to anyone.
What actually happened, was that the "highlights" was a total bleach-out of my color to add a HORRIBLE, DRAB, BROWN, ASHY COLOR THAT TOTALLY WASHED OUT THE COLOR OF MY SKIN AND HAD ABSOLUTELY NO HIGHLIGHTS, JUST LOWLIGHTS. The cut was also discusting since I asked her to cut the hair to go under. Her cut flipped out since she does not obviously know how to cut hair either. I was so exhausted and appalled that I did not argue, I just paid the bill which was $214.00. Shannon is obviously a sales clerk, not a hairstylist, or she is afraid of losing her job if she does not push the sale of all of the products that she put on my hair. The owner seems very nice, but i will never go back to her. I loved my haircolor, and she did not listen to me, she totally disrespected what i wanted, and pushed her services and products on me. Now, i will color my own hair, never go to another stylist in this city again, because there are no good stylists, just people wanting to bilk a person out of their money.
