I made my last payment in February. I was unable to make the next 3 months' payments and Fairbanks went into immediate foreclosure. On several occasions I had asked to let me make a payment or two to try to catch up; they said no. They wanted me to make a full payment of $2,700, which at that time included their attorney's fees, late charges and penalties.
They suggested that I could sell my home and/or car, cash in my 401k or borrow the money from a family member. Or I could just give up the house. How stupid! And how ruthless is this company?
I have called at least once a week and never receive a return call. All of my calls are documented with at least a date and time that I placed the call. Their message banks are always full and sometimes you cannot even leave a message.
This is a very abusive company that is taking advantage of people who are not in any position to meet their demands. I think they are criminals and the company is prostituting the business to vulnerable clients. How unfortunate that they are allowed to conduct business in this manner.
