I received several calls from 8171321373 saying they were from Citibank and asking me to call back at 8669893925. The rep said I should be prepared to give them personal information to log in, and that this was an important call.
I called Citibank using the phone number on the back of my ATM card, and the Citibank rep told me that no Citibank rep had called me to ask for my information. I believe the above phone numbers are a scam, and I am thankful I did not call back. It sounded real, sincere and urgent. Honestly, I did not realize it was a scam until the Citibank agent told me that no one from Citibank had made that call. If I had been more organized, I probably would have written down the above number to call them back. I probably would have given out my information out of ignorance.
Banks never call to ask you for identification when you call back! Beware!!! I learned a lesson today and I am thankful.
