Terrible service! You call yourselves Reliance Home Comfort, but that is the very last thing my family and I experienced this weekend. I cannot understand how people can rely on you to provide such an important service as heat and warm water in their homes in the heart of winter!
My wife is 40 weeks pregnant and can go into active labour any second. One prepares everything in the home apart from looking at the heat (only the most important thing in your home when you stay in northern Ontario!) for the arrival of a first child. Friday night my heat and hot water went out. I decided to do the courteous thing and switch on the portable furnace for the night. Saturday morning I made the first phone call and was on the line for 20 minutes, so I hung up and attempted a second call. Eventually someone picked up and informed me that my local contractor, Superior Home Comfort, would contact me within 3 hours. We spent the whole day waiting for the call.
At 6 P.M. I tried phoning Reliance once again. The first call, I was on hold for 16 minutes; the second call, 11 minutes. The lady then told me someone would phone me as soon as possible to resolve the issue. This time they actually did, and the guy showed up and told me it was fixed. An hour and a half later, the tank was down once more. Again, I thought I would wait until the morning, and again I waited 15 minutes to get through. They apologized sincerely and told me someone was on his way and would be there within an hour. Not to my surprise, two hours later I had to phone once more, and again there were apologies. Now it is Sunday morning, two days later in the middle of winter, and my family and I are still without heat or hot water in our house.
This is the worst service I have ever had, and the general feeling is "we are sorry, but we are doing what we can." Are you kidding me? Wow, terribly disappointed!
