If you are thinking about renting from Reliance, DON'T DO IT. Twice I received an old water heater that leaked within a couple of years. The last time I checked the build date before it came off the truck. I told the repair person to "keep it". That 8 year old water is not coming into my house. Then I called Reliance to cancel my account and I bought a water heater and paid a plumber to install it. One year's rent from Reliance cost me approximately $200 and Reliance charged almost a full year's rent $176 to close the account. I bought a water heater with a 10 year warranty and complete with installation it cost less than 4 years rent from Reliance.
