I was told yesterday, while in process of trying to buy my way out of the contract with Direct TV that I had been overcharged for the last 10 months (that's how long I've been with Direct) - I have called almost monthly to complain. Found out yesterday that the basic price (before the $25 "advanced" receiver fee, $6 for something (twice), then minus $6, taxes, etc.) I have been paying is $68.99 and IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN $34.99!! A DirectTV person on the phone told me that. She said to buy my way out of the contract would be $280 - I called an hour later and the "buy out of the contract" price was $220!! And there is no way for me to get back the $350 I have been overcharged - and I still have to be $220 to get out of the contract. Looking for an attorney right now!!
