Service with this company has been problematic since our service began in mid-May, from a fouled up installation to bum equipment. I never would have switched had U-Verse been available in the area I moved to, but all AT&T could offer was DirecTV, and I truly wish I had never heard of it. One major complaint had been the inability to record as many simultaneous channels as their competition - however, after being with DirecTV a very short time, they introduced what they call Genie which would rectify that. But, since I'm no longer a 'new customer' it would cost me $300 to obtain it instead of getting it free. Since my early termination fee drops $20 per month, once it gets down to $300 it may behoove me to switch to a service which values their customers more highly. At this point, I cannot in good conscience recommend DirecTV at all.
