Misguided - change of reservation

I bought a trip rental-car for November 1st 2012 from Nashville, Tennessee to Detroit, IL from Hotwire. I had been in NYC on 29th March and because of climate conditions all of the trip were ended and that I wouldn't have the ability to achieve Nashville on 1st Nov. Since I'd not have the ability to travel on that trip I needed to stop or alter my trip to later period. I approached Hotwire customer support on 31st Oct EACH DAY BEFORE my planned trip. Our flight was a-Delta air travel. Originally I had been educated by Hotwire client solutions that despite the fact that its a unique conditions (the weather-NYC SANDY) I will not be ready to obtain reimbursement from Delta and that I will soon be billed $150 to alter my reservation for later day. Therefore, I decided to spend $150, but as time passes Hotwire customer support unearthed that its a unique conditions and that I won't be cost something to alter my reservation. I had been educated at the conclusion of the discussion that Hotwire set a change of reservation at later day within the program along with a Hotwire broker may contact me briefly. I had been pleased with the support in those days. On Nov 2 a Hotwire broker approached me that I'd not get any reimbursement or I will not be ready to alter the reservation day since I did not stop my trip with delta airways. I'm so upset with this specific support If Hotwire client broker explained that I also need to contact delta I'd did that. This isn't the best way to still people' cash.
