Horrendous experience with Orbitz - Omni hotel West Side

I will never use Orbitz again. I booked what I thought was the correct Omni and I found out the hard way that I did not. When I called Orbitz to see if they could help me they blatantly lied to me and said they tried to clear it up with Omni but the called never happened. I found this out when I pleaded with the Omni West Side's management. The lady informed me that booking with Orbitz was a huge mistake. Since they collect my moneys up front they wont do anything to accommodate there clients because they have my money already. Whats worst is that I severely over paid for my room. I paid almost $190 a night for a room I would only have had to pay maybe a $100 for. I will now advise all of my clients, friends and family not to use Orbitz, Expedia or any third party companies because they are deceptive in how they operate their business. It is much much better to book directly with the airline, hotel or car rental companies. I ended up staying a few more nights in Houston and once my obligation was done with the Omni I moved to the Derek. This made my stay in Houston much more enjoyable and the best part is that I booked it directly with the hotel. Bye bye Orbitz you lost a client forever. Maybe if you spent more money on customer service with American agents instead of agent in a third world country like India you would have a better relationships with your clients.
