Last straw - Truck Rental

I'm not really a person who complains a whole lot about any place, mainly because I feel it's bad to measure up a company based on my experience with ONE person from that company, However, this is not the case here. U-Haul is not in any way a good company, they are a big corporation, who is big enough to charge low enough so it continuously attracts people to their store. With the low prices they offer, they also demand a huge headache on your part. Back in June, I used U-Haul for a move across state lines. I called the U-Haul I was scheduled to pick up my U-Haul truck from directly to ensure everything was going to go smoothly for the actual vehicle pickup which was (literally) 100 miles away. I got up at 5 am, drove to the U-Haul - over 2 hours away, and when I got there to pick up the truck, the guy I called to verify the rental with, told me I never called, I didn't reserve the vehicle, and that he already rented out the truck to a church group for 10 am (2 hours later then me at 8 am) we called U-Haul, at which point he lied to them - RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I had to drive another hour to get the vehicle in another city, an hour doing the paperwork, and an hour back to the site we were moving, Losing 4 total hours between the U-Haul liar, and getting to the site. SO I decided to let that go (even though i was BULL at U-Haul) a month ago, we decided to move to a different house, so we called UHAUL to reserve a truck. We also reserved a moving team through U-Haul to come and help with the moving of our bigger items. I called two weeks prior to the move to verify everything was in order, at which i was told I'd have absolutely no issues, the truck was going to be where I was going to pick it up from and at the time I wanted it there, the moving team would be here and working by 10 am, and all would be great. They also said we didn't need to call, that they would call us 2 DAYS before the move. Our move was yesterday (Saturday 1 OCT 11), we received a phone call from UHAUL on Friday afternoon (30 SEPT 11), a mere HOURS before our move, and not a whole lot of time to try and fix any "issues" we may have run into (which we did). A woman (Anne) calls me to tell me that the truck I am supposed to pick up isn't at the store I need it to be, and that I'll have to drive 45 minutes to go get it (that's 45 minutes in my car to get it, an hour in the truck back, an hour in the truck to return it and 45 minutes in my car to get home), So I asked her about having someone bring the truck up to the store I need it at (as it's RIGHT down the street from my move site), she said no, they don't do that. I explained to her that we made this reservation a month ago, she said the only way I could get that truck at my store is if I wait for the other one to be dropped off at 5 pm (movers are supposed to be there at 10 am). After a long drawn out back and forth, we had to go to get the truck from the further store. I arrived at the store at 8am, waited in line and I finally got my paperwork, I went out to inspect my vehicle and asked about the supplies (WHICH WE ALSO RESERVED!!!) He said he didn't see anything on the paperwork, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GO BACK INSIDE, WAIT IN LINE AGAIN, AND HAVE THEM FIX IT! SO I waited, again, for another 15-20 minutes. I was MAD! And to top it all off, what is that guy doing? Standing by my truck laughing with his friends, smoking a cigarette! Why couldn't this guy just bring the paperwork in for me, skip all the lines, and get this resolved for me? I get my truck, with my supplies, the truck has an 1/8 of a tank of gas in it (literally) so before I can even get on the road, I already have to drop more cash into this truck. I go get my gas and head home FINALLY. When I get there, we're waiting for the moving company who is supposed to be at the house and working by 10 am. 10:07, no show... 10:30, no show... 11am I'm on the phone calling. The movers, got into an accident 15 MINUTES AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AT MY HOUSE PACKING AND MOVING! I asked the guy if there was another crew, he said no. I asked when I was going to be called to inform me, he started to answer and I was so mad, I hung up. After the move (which I had to call a lot of angry people on their Saturdays to help) I had to put more gas in the truck to get it back to the store. Then I got to go home. To hell with u-haul!
