I discover that Orbitz as a third party booking entity does not forward contact information to the primary service provider. Therefore the primary service provider cannot contact a customer to query "no show" on a reservation. Because of this, there is no cancellation support, but only cancellation penalty.
However, Orbitz does bombard you with advertizing subsequently to using booking services, and does take your credit card, and does give that information to schemes such as Member Works, Inc. Which will then dun your account for alleged services.
This may legally skirt the edge of fraud, but ethically and in terms of true customer service, these policies and practices will insure I never use Orbitz again and will share
this information with as many others as possible. "A dissatisfied customer will tell..."
