Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport
Negligent, rude and unbelievable! Broken Chair, Foot Injury and Awful Service

If I start from the moment I walked into the Sheraton Suites I can safely say that my entire 24-hour stay was pathetic. A sloppy, impolite front desk agent named Jossy Maldonado did not greet my friend and I, and upon telling her that we needed to check in she replied 'We are almost booked and rooms are $179 a night'. When I asked if there were special rates for persons visiting group sessions she replied 'You already pre-paid the room' (and after reiterating the fact that my question was UNanswered she proceeded to discuss this with someone behind a nearby wall for a few minutes before returning to say 'No we do not have rates') After checking in, we immediately went to our rooms, changed and rushed to the jacuzzi where we were unable to enjoy a few minutes of relaxation because of the crusty, mildew and dirt build-up on the sides of the tub, not to mention an overwhelming chemical smell and fumes from what must have been too much chlorination. After we go back to our rooms and shower, we begin to settle in for the night and I decided to sit out in the hallway to write and record a video blog. Due to some traffic on the stairway and noise levels on the second floor I decided to go up to the third floor and sit by the hallway so that I would have suffficient light for my camera. About 15 minutes pass and I was going to reposition myself further into the hall for even better lighting and sound recording, as I put my right foot on the ground I hear a creak and one of the chairs left legs breaks from under me, causing me to fall forward on my knees and the chair collapses down on the back of my legs, behind and on top of me, and my positioning causes the chair to smash into my right foot cause two lacerations on my second and third toes, which promptly bled for the next 10 minutes... I tried to call someone up from the balcony - noone was at the front desk or door... I then chose to take a snap shot of the chair and my foot and then I limped downstairs to the lobby and explained to an older women working at the front desk what had just happened - didn't see any signs of shock or concern from her or the heavyset manager (Fernando) who made no real effort to remedy the situation in any way that someone in his position ought to. They didn't even have a first-aid kit. After my foot continued bleeding I asked for an ambulance to ensure I did not need stitches - due to my responsibilities the following day I opted not to go to the E.R. And instead pursue damages for the gross negligence and lack of professionalism that I had to endure these past few days. I can't believe this happened at a Sheraton and I will be sure NEVER to stay at a Starwood Hotel again. I hope someone can help me take the steps necessary to receive a settlement for this situation. Thank you.

P.S. Most of the fruits and breads on the buffet table looked rotten and stale. I only wish I went back to take photos of that as well.
