Americas Best Value Inn and Suites
ABVI my appalling experience with my reservation

I am writing to you regarding my experience with my reservation and stay at Americas Best Value Inn and Suites (ABVI) located at 1780 Aeroplaza Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80916.
I had booked my reservation online using ABVI website for the long weekend (Sep 4 - 6) in mid August using my credit card. The confirmation no. Was pfld28f5lf. When I arrived at the hotel on Saturday, Sep 4 th at 11 pm, the person at the front desk Mr. Anthony told me that there was no reservation in my name and because of the long weekend all the rooms were sold out. When I showed him my reservation letter he told me that it was perfectly normal to make a reservation online on the Americas Best value Inn website and then arrive at the hotel to find that there was no room. When I wanted to speak to the manager he said that he won't be back till Tuesday morning after the holiday. Mr. Anthony said that there was nothing that he could do about this situation and told me to find a room for myself and hurriedly left the lobby so that he could evade further questions. Mr. Anthony's behavior was extremely unprofessional and he is the rudest hotel staff that I have dealt with so far.
We then went to the nearby Super 8 hotel where the front desk lobby receptionist Glenda helped us in finding a hotel room for the night at the Embassy suites in Colorado Springs for the night for $185.00. She was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to help us find a room in the middle of the night during a busy weekend (in contrast to the behavior of Mr. Anthony of Americas Best Value Inn). Finally we had to check in at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Colorado Springs at 12:30 am in a smoking room (since that was the only available room for the night).
The next day (Sep 5th) I called up and spoke to the manager at the same Americas Best Value Inn and Suites and he told me that my reservation was still there and I could check in there for Sunday. I stayed in the hotel for Sunday night and explained my experience to the manager Mr Joshua Hill on Monday, Sep the 6th. He assured me that he will look into the matter but I have not heard from him so far. I have been booking hotels online for the last 10 years including your hotel but this is the first time that I had this kind of experience. Because of this whole reservation fiasco we not only had to pay of premium of $ 185.00 for one night of stay at the Embassy Suites (even though we had a valid reservation at AVBI hotel) it also threw our travel plans in disarray for the next day because of the late check in and the confusion over the whole matter. Not to mention all the emotional distress that we had to undergo in the middle of the night because of this reservation fiasco at the hotel. I have stayed at ABVI hotels before and I am also a Value Club Card member for years, but I have never had this kind of experience before. If this is the way customers are treated at ABVI hotel this will be my last stay at Americas Best Value Inn and Suites. I hope you will take up this issue promptly and address the situation so that in future such things do not happen.
