Best Western Navigation Inn
Ripoff Hotel Hell

I was offered a job in Corpus Christi for a photo shoot, so I had to travel, and book a hotel. Never having been to Corpus Christi before I went online to reserve a room. My husband is disabled and was going to be traveling with me, so I went through every hotel I could find till I found one with a Sauna and Whirlpool so that he could relax after the long trip and ease his aches.

I reserved a room at the Best Western Navigation Inn for 2 days, because theyre advertisement said "Inn features nicely appointed guest rooms with coffeers, microwave, fridge, Iron, and TV with HBO. Complimentary property amenities include a large outdoor pool, and whirlpool area, a nicely appointed exercise room, a sauna and indoor whirlpool room.

"The advertisement also read "Texas Friendly Staff" "Exceeding your Expectations is our goal" "World class service" "Disablity Access" "Free Newspaper". The shoot was on Saturday, so I reserved the room for Friday Night when we were to drive in and Saturday night so we could rest a night before traveling Home on Sunday.
We got to the Hotel at 4:10 Friday Evening, checked in and unpacked the massive amounts of clothes and makeup and props to our room, by this time my husband was so tired, and sore from traveling he could hardly move. After getting the things into the room, we noticed that the room had a smell like Body Odor, and then we started looking around the room, there was food that looked months old in the refrigerator, the ice bucket had dirt all in the bottom of it, there was only 1 towel in bathroom, and the room was just dirty in general.

We then opened up the windows and door to air the room out, and cleaned out the refrigerator rather than complain, because we were just to tired. My husband then tried to make coffee in the "Complimentary Coffee Pot" there was no coffee so he went and bought some, then when we went to put water in it we noticed the whole back of the fill bucket was full of stagnant water and coffee grounds. At this point I was extremely frustrated.

I called the front desk, and asked the clerk to log our complaints, and give us some towels and new coffee pot.

After all of this about 7:00pm my husband and I were frustrated, sore, and tired. We decided to try and make the best of it, and try to relax to get ready for the very long day we were looking forward to the next day, so we went down to the Whirlpool room. When we got down to the room the door, and window were open, making the room temperature about 60%, and the whirlpool and Sauna were not on, we shut the door and window, and turned on the whirlpool, the knobs in the sauna were broke so we couldnt turn it on.

We then went back to our room, to wait for the whirlpool to warm up, and report to the front desk that the Sauna knobs were broken. At 8:00pm we went back down to the whirlpool room to sit in the whirlpool, to discover the water had only gotten warm, so we decided to get in and warm up with the "Hot tub", after about 15 minutes of sitting in there the jets started blowing ice cold water on us, we were shocked to say the least. I got out of the "Ice tub" and tried to turn the heater on that was in the room, so we could warm up before walking back down to our room in the cold weather wet, only to discover the Heater was also busted. My husband and I finally returned to our, dirty, stinky hotel room, just to go to sleep, and rest for the next day. At this point we were wet, cold and extremely stressed. I reported all the problems to the desk agent, and finally got to sleep about 1:00am.

The next morning we went to the "Free Deluxe Continental Breakfast". It was meager to say the least, and there was no complimentary free newspaper like the ad said. At this point we decided we were not going to stay another night in this Hotel, we went back to our room got dressed, loaded the massive amounts of luggage and stuff back into the car, and told the General Manager we wanted to check out. He was curious
