Amada resort plaza called me all week. I finaly answered the phone i talk to a (laura Shurte). She said she is a senior travel agent for 15 yrs her ID #0955 she was calling from Ft. Lauderdale remada plaza resort. She told me i won a 2 day 2 nights in bahamas on the inperial majestic cruise ship. Told me in the begining of the conversation the only thing i will have to pay is $59.00 per person for port charges!
Then i re-asked her thats the only thing i will have to pay to take this trip. Laura shurte said yes! Then she moved on with rental car that would be waiting for me at the ft. Lauderdale airport. Which was free too for 7 days "BUT" i will have to pay for tax and gas would be my responsibility!
Then laura shurte moved onto next staying at remada plaza resort for 3days 3 nights. Had me go to there web site, while i was on phone with her to look at the resort and cruise ship. She then told me i would have to look up airlines and call them back with quotes. I asked her what about passports she told me i did not need one untill after january!! Which i new was a lie right there. She then put me on hold for few seconds and a man got on the phone. He was the supervisore didn't catch his name.
He then went over the price which was never told to me! I was told one price the whole conversation with laura shurte. I would only pay $59.00 per person for port costs for me and my husband to take this so called free trip to the bahamas! He then said no the whole complete trip was going to cost me $498.00 not including the $59.00 per person port costs that was seperate. He then said he had $3.000 in savings booklet and gave me discount off $498.00 which knocked the price down to $438.00. Then out the blue he wanted the credit card #
I said no way! Thats my husbands card i have to ask and talk it over with him first. Then he put me on hold for second came back on said i thought you said your husband was outside. I said yes he was but he then left to the store. Then in his voice you can hear he was furious. Said well when will he be back. I said when ever he feels i dont have clue. I dont know the exactly were he went because on was on the phone 1 hour with your agent. Then he said we will call back in 1 hour.
Ramada plaza never did call back but if they do i am sure gonna let them have it. The only reason i am righting my storey on here is because i was trying to re-look up there cruise ship and this web site popped up. I feel for all you poeple that is like a life savings to take your family somewere special. And to get scammed like that is so very sad. My heart goes out to all of you and i hope you all win your case.
If wasnt for my husband not being home and a good friend that lives out there in ft. Lauderdale the time of that phone call. Me and my husband would be scammed by these ungratefull scam artists. And i also forgot to add i was also offered by laura shurte i could also stay at there other resort hotel on pampano beach in ft. Lauderdale if i would like said its there other part of there family and can be arranged.
