A friend alerted me to this site after I told him that I had just purchased the ultimate vacation package on 02-10-08 for only $298.00. My package included 6 nights and 7 days in Forida and a Bahamas cruise. I had filled out an entry form while in Las Vegas which is how they got my number. I have taken advantage of deals like this before, and they had been legitamate. The price was so cheap, I figured if I got took, i couldn't deal with the loss. Below is the vacation package promised to me:
3 days and 2 nights in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, staying for free at Ramada Plaza Resort Ft. Lauderdale. Complimentary breakfast lunch and dinner buffets for two during our stay. Lots of shopping. We are responsible for all hotel taxes.
2 Night Cruise to Bahamas on the "Regal Impress". A room upgrade, we did and got an outside stateroom with balcony! All meals are free including coffee or tea. All other beverages are our responsibility. There are Las Vegas type shows and a midnight buffets. Nassua/Paradise Island port of call. Duty free shopping and many outlets. We also get $50.00 match play casino money. We are responsible for port taxes (about $118.00)
We then return to Ft. Lauderdale and take our free Almo rental car to Orlando Florida to complete our trip. We pay all taxes and gas. You can also choose two day passes for two to Universal Orlando in lieu of the rental car.
We arrive at the Ramada Plaza Resort in Orlando for another 2 nights. All meals are provided and rooms are free. Lots of stuff to do in Orlando. Universal Orlando, Disney World, you are close by. If you need more time, you can purchase more days. We are responsible for hotel taxes

When I read the horror stories on this site, I immediately called my bank and asked if I had merchant protection which I did. They asked me if I had used the vacation yet and I told them no. They told me to call the company and request a full refund and if they refused, to call her back and she would issue a chargeback on the company.
I called Ramada Plaza resorts and after getting the Joan, the operator's name, I asked for a manager, I was asked what the matter concerned, and I told them that I would rather wait for a manager, Joan said she wouldn't connect me to a manager unless I told her what it was for, so I told her that I had investigated their vacation offer and decided that I wanted my money back. Joan told me no managers were available and that I should call back in 1/2 an hour. I told her I would hold and she said that there was no room in the Que.
I hung up and immediately called back. This time I got Fran. And I am ashamed to say that this time around I used my job title (I am in law enforcment) I asked for a manager again, and this time Fran told me to hold on. After putting me on hold a couple of times, she came back and said that the company would be more than happy to refund my credit card. She gave me a confirmation # and told me a post card confirming the cancellation would be arriving shortly.
Then she told me that Ramada had over 500,0000 people using these vacations and with that number, you were bound to get complaints like class action suits. I didn't say anything and bit my lip. Before saying goodbye, she offerred me a free, no strings attached stay at Ramada Plaza in Orlando. I told her thanks, but no thanks.
