We were unsure about buying a timeshare on March 25 and was very hesitant because we could not afford $26,000, so they offered us a smaller package of 8,000 points for $13,000 and told us we could still go anywhere we wanted because they would give us unlimited bonus nights and our points would roll over. We were still unsure.
We told them we wanted to go to Myrtle Beach the week of July 4th. They guarunteed us we could go there and filled out a form showing us we could use 5,600 points and purchase 3 bonus nights for $59.00 a night, and said all we had to do was call reservations the 1st of April to confirm our reservation for 2 bedroom ocean view room.
Now for the Fraud.
(1) We found out the reason we were told to call after April 1st is there was a 5 day window to cancel the sale. We were not this.
(2) On March 25th everything on the beach is booked. They did not have a vacancy.
(3) you can only purchase bonus nights within 45 days of your arrival. You can't buy bonus night for July in March.
(4) Bonus nights? We rented a timeshare from a lady in Daytona Beach Shores this past summer, Next door to Fantasy Island II. After the race crowd left we noticed there was vacancies there so I inquired about finishing our vacatio there by purchasing bonus nights. I was told I would have to go through rentals and pay for a whole week.
When I went to Laurel Crest to complain, I was told if I upgraded my membership, that would not happen again. When I told the saleman I wanted to see a manager to voice my concern about fraud, the salesman left and then came back and told me the manager was busy and if I did not leave they would call security.
