I am so disappointed I just threw away $900 dollars. I purchased a vacation package from priceline.com. I booked air, hotel and car rental.
The reservations are in my husbands name who now it turns out won't be able to go. The problem is not the air fare but the hotel and car rental. Because they are in my husbands name I can not change the reservations into my name. So I have lost $300 to rooms and rental car. Which means I will have to rent a car and rooms in my name if I go without my husband.
Each of our round-trip tickets were $300 dollars. We can put the tickets on hold for up to a year. However there is a $100 fee by the airlines to put it on hold and another $30 from priceline.com to do the same. For each ticket. Let's see that means I lost $300 on the room and car rental and if I choose to use the airline tickets in the next year it will cost me another $260 (plus any fare increase) plus I have to pay for another room and rental car. So as I figure it no matter what I do I am out $900.
Please learn from my lesson and don't purchase a vacation package from priceline.com.
