Etoursandtravel to good to be true FREE vacation

My spouse received a call last year from etoursandtravel telling us we had won a vacation to Keywest, Daytona and Disney. We were told we would get free tickets to Universal Studios, Disney Land* and a sunset cruise. We were told we would be staying at the Radisson Ramada Hotel. The sales man went so far as to say it was all inclusive. We were offered to buy two more tickets for a discounted price (it was explained in avery confusing and looking back underhanded way), so we have a vacation for four. This trip like others mentioned offers 3 different hotels and a car rental.

We decided to wait and go Christmas 2005 as we didn't receive the call until December in 2004 and we were told we had to book 60 days in advance.

Recently, we called to book dates. We managed to book dates and were prewarned about Keywest having higher rates during holidays and that we might be dinged for holiday season. Fine we decided to go to Keywest first to avoid the surcharge. We were then told that a trip for 4 gives us 1 room only, that we only get 2 tickets to universal and that they are not affiliated with Disney at all (no disney tickets). We also must pay the taxes (GST) while down there. I was unaware that Florida charged GST. I thought that was a Canadian tax.

Also, we later found after printout info from their conformation site that we have to sit through two different sales pitches each an hour and a half in length.

We also must pay for our flight. My mother and step father were going to join us and we were to pay just the extra for my daughter. After hearing the details of the arrangement they decided not to go. After all we have had bad luck in the past with con artists.

While speaking to etoursandtravel the second time they were very reluctant to let me speak to a manager, insisted that I was locked in, no refund. I informed them of Canadian Law and the fact that I was in Law Enforcement and that I do not roll over and play dead when I am played. I wanted to make it clear to them that if this is in anyway shady, their best move is to allow me the option to get my money back ASAP.

I am in the process of confirm my reservations with the hotels etc, before going forth with flight reservations. Their contract states that I must listen to an hour and half session for them to cover the extra cost (the supposed free part). I have decided to do so however after an hour and a half I am walking out of the room (my obligation to their contract is fullfilled). Although I still have concerns on both ends about this contract, if not signed how is it legally binding.

In the recent past we lost our home to fire and then were scammed out of our meger rebuild money by shady contractors. This FREE vaction seemed a God send as we have been up to our necks in legal matters not to mention vurtually homeless for almost 2 years. It took a hug toll on our family and my health. However, all of those nasty contractors are being brought to justice and that situation has only fueled my outrage against con jobs.

I hope for etours sake this trip is both enjoyable and as FREE as they say, otherwise it will be their misfortune to have ever contacted us, because I will be very vexatious and will want my pound of flesh (via legal channels). I don't care if we have to rewrite internal and international laws, I am sick of scammers.

Lets hope I have a good vacation to report rather than a rip off, I will keep you posted. Anyone else who has had dealing with etourandtravel (any of their offices) I would love to hear from you (good or bad). Etourandtravel it would be reassuring to acutally have one of your managers return our call and confirm things (better yet, it would be wiser for one of your execs to call us back), although the last sales rep we talked to was very helpful it is not up to her to do you your job.

Your Key West Getaway is a complimentary bonus and is subject to the Terms and Conditions previously outlined in your Purchase Confirmation. Sunset Cruise tickets are issued at the Reception Center upon completion of a 90 minute presentation at the Coconut Mallory Resort & Marina. Failure to complete the presentation will result in forfeiture of Sunset Cruise tickets
and traveler will be responsible for hotel accommodation charges ($100 to $250 per night, depending upon seasonality).

Attraction tickets are gifts from sponsoring resorts, require completion of a 90 minute presentation of a vacation ownership resort (s) and are subject to
separate terms and conditions as they are not a part of this accommodations package. Failure to complete the presentation will result in forfeiture of attraction tickets.
