In January of this year, my wife and I paid $139 as a reservation fee to Fairfield to visit one of their resorts in Williamsburg, Va We will not be able to make the trip. Now, they refuse to refund, saying we had only "about 30 days" to qualify for a refund. They said nothing about that going in, and nothing in their written material says any such thing.
They do say in their material that I can cancel up to 72 hours before arrival without penalty. Still, they will not refund to us. This is a time-share type resort program, and I assure you that it would be the very last place I would recommend to anyone. They are not honest. I am retired and cannot afford to "throw away" $139. I was refused the opportunity to talk with a manager. The man I talked with (Michael) said "they were not available to take calls."
I do not want to reschedule our trip (impossible), and I do not want to go to another one of their resorts for a presentation (because of the way they have treated me). I just want my money back.!!
Please help. Thank you for your consideration.
