While trying to redeem an Orbitz cancelation credit, the airfare cost climbed $45. I was on hold with a customer service agent for 10 minutes while this flight increased in cost. After asking about the flight, I was then told that I could not redeem the entire amount without paying an additional $180 out of pocket change fee. My original flight cost was $551.60. The flight that I wanted to book today is now $396.10. And, Orbitz is demanding an additional $180 to re-book this flight.
