Cancellation due to War. Non-refundable?! - Orbitz online flight reservations

I booked a travel package to Hawaii to see my husbands ship pull in to port after 8 months of being deployed with the US Navy.

His ship got officially extended to serve in Syria and is no longer pulling in to Hawaii. I need to cancel my trip and was told none of it is refundable due to the terms of my cancellation.

There absolutely needs to be changes to the cancellation policy to include reasons of war for military personnel and their defendants.

I was given an official letter from my husbands commanding officer to give to travel agencies to hopefully aid in the refunding process.
